I was in the Navy from 2004 to 2007. I was stationed in Japan on board the USS Kitty Hawk, I was in aviation. In 2005 on my 3rd deployment is when I sustained my injury and retired from the Navy at the age of 21. I am new to the Bay area been living here for 14 months. Originally from southern CA.
While I’m not a Dodgers fan in the slightest, I really like the concept behind this picture. Everything in this collage fits and is about baseball, so I like it.
The palm broken into many pieces makes an illusion of movement of small images on the palm. The baseball in the right upper corner attracts the attention and appears as a magic center of the action. Tatiana
I really like this piece because it’s very commercial. Someone would get paid to make something like this for an ad. It’s very clear this artist is a Dodgers fan.
It has a clear concept that’s recognizable at once. The different collage size of the hands gives the feeling of the movement going on which goes well with the idea of sport. The colors go really well and it’s very clear to make out the image, which is nice, the frame of the image makes the image much more fun and explains the concept.
This is the coolest baseball command: Los Angeles Dodgers. Manuel is the owner of a ball from one of Dodgers games. On this collage he is in the roll of one of players. Very cool idea.
Very cool images and I like how they are laid out over the hands. The white squares really make your eye jump around to see all the images. Pulls me in to study it more.
For my taste, really professional job. The look of the hand, cut in pieces, is really powerful. I believe this could be a commercial promo for Dodgers. The frame on the sides is perfect.
I like that the guy looks like he is reaching for the stars and what he finds is baseball. You can tell that you hold the Dodgers in a very high regard :)
I guess you are a huge fan of Dodgers from this collage. I like the way how you composed the images around the palm;To me, I feel kind like an optical illusion.
I can’t remember the name of the artists that chops images up. I really like the way the hand is broken up, reaching for the ball. And the background being black pushes the images toward the viewer.
The scanned ball is especially cool, even if it isn't from a Giant's game. I would have liked a little bit more or less white space, but otherwise it's fine.
Field is cool as a frame and I can picture the guy in the background throwing the ball, but cannot follow as to why the hand is being chopped up and relocated.
igh 5 for baseball! I don't know much about baseball but this definitely puts me in the mood to go to a dodgers game. I could see something like his in a sports illustrated magazine!

ReplyDeleteI really like this (and I'm not a Dodgers fan...sorry Manny!) what a great idea! I like the field framing both sides.

ReplyDeleteI'm not a baseball person, but it has a very clear cut theme behind it.

ReplyDeleteA personal homage to baseball with strong, abstracted images. Has a graphic, edgy feel I like very much. The two borders are fabulous. Great idea.

ReplyDeleteI really like the concept of this picture but I think I would like the picture more if there was less white space.
ReplyDeleteLoved the baseball theme (but not the Dodgers).... scanning the ball was a great idea and thought the composition was terrific.

ReplyDeleteI like the composition and the clear idea - you are a Dogers fan! Love the boarder on the sides!
ReplyDeleteVery nice baseball ad. I like it.

ReplyDeleteWow, really puts the dodgers in your face! i like how all the pictures seem as though they could almost form some sort of mitt catching a baseball.
